User Research

Capture user behavior, pain points, motivations, and needs from contextual inquires. Group into logical pillars. Map out product features for each pillar to identify gaps, opportunities, and feature bloat.

Summarize the research data from your user research into personas. This will help your team keep the user's motivations, frustrations, and goals in mind when evaluate design solutions.

Customer Journey Map

After you have identified who will be using your product, write down the business goals/desired outcome for each persona. You then go back and fill in how they will discover your product, learn what it is all about, and how they will start using it.

Visually communicate abstract concepts with users and team members to generate feedback. These can be hand drawn or created with a software like Sketch.

High Fidelity Prototypes

Quickly develop interactive prototypes with tools like Invision or Principle. This lets the team easily distribute and observe exactly how well the product will be received before the product gets built.
