Motion

Bringing Creators Together Through Music.

Motion began as a mix where I brought together influences from a wide array of genres and movies into one stream of music. They gained traction so we turned it into an event where creators could meet up, share their work & be happy.

Our goal was to bring creators together in meaningful ways. Motion designers, visual designers, music creators, technologists and entrepreneurs all under one roof.

A new experience in Lawrence

In 2015 a group of friends and I set out to put on a unique cultural experience. We teamed up with El Taller, a cafe & bookstore with a venue that fits 200. The mission was to create a platform for up-and-coming creators in Lawrence. We ended up hitting capacity and X social stats.

Influence + Social Media

I read a book by Edwards Bernays, nephew of Sigmund Freud, that introduced me to concepts of social influence. We combined those concepts with the power of social media.

We developed a strategy where we create a unique and branded video for each performer, DJ, and influencer involved. Then they share it, flooding the feeds of their followers.

Breaking into Boston

After selling out for two years we decided to try the Boston scene. Our target demographic evolved over the years but stayed relatively consistent. Millenials passionate about music and urban culture.

This time around we teamed up with La Fabrica in Cambridge, a latin-inspired space with a capacity of 800 people. We recruited YesJulz of 1am Creative to host the event and curated an eclectic lineup of DJs, artists and tastemakers.

We sold out the venue and saw X social stats.
