HEAT

Bringing Creators Together Through Rhythm and Bass

HEAT was a party to kick off the summer for creators and tastemakers in Boston. All to celebrate culture and spotlight up and coming talent.

In 2015 I saw a gap in nightlife experiences and I set out to create a space focused on creators, community, and unbounded music.

A new music experience in Lawrence.

In 2015 a group of friends and I set out to put on something fresh. We teamed up with El Taller, a local cafe with a venue a friend of mine owns. The mission was to create a platform for up-and-coming music creators. We sold out and reached over 100,000 impressions.

Influencers + Social Media

I read a book by Edwards Bernays, nephew of Sigmund Freud, that introduced me to concepts of social influence. We combined those concepts with influencers on social media.

We developed a strategy where we created a unique branded video for each creator who was featured. They would share it and flood the feeds of their followers.

Breaking into Boston

After selling out for two years we decided to try the Boston scene. Our target demographic evolved over the years but stayed relatively consistent. Millenials passionate about music and urban culture.

This time around we teamed up with La Fabrica in Cambridge, a latin-inspired space with a capacity of 800 people. We recruited YesJulz of 1am Creative to host the event and curated an eclectic lineup of DJs, artists and tastemakers.

We sold out again and reached over 500,000 social impressions.
